Thomas Michael Sines

He was born on March 23, 1941 in Portland. He spent his childhood in Ionia and later enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps where he served four years.

In 1973 Tom moved from Walled Lake to Gaylord. He worked for Schlumberger Oil Service in Gaylord from 1973 to 1986. He also owned his own trucking company, leasing to UAC Limited. In 1992, Tom went to work for Johnson Oil, retiring this year in February.

Our Dad was a very hard working, humble, loving Man.  Even though he had a sometimes  chaotic childhood, he made sure that everyone that had a problem or was lacking was looked after and helped.  My Mom is the same way.  He was human and made mistakes as we did/do.  But we learned valuable lessons through him and his unconditional love.  If you needed the "shirt off his back" it was yours.  And he treated all other people this way.  His entire life was dedicated to family and we are so very fortunate to have had him as a father and leader!!
